Parihaar Foundation, a non-profit organization registered under society’s act promoting welfare of widows, strives to eradicate the woes of widows from society is sister organisation of Parivarthana Trust. Besides widows, Parihaar also endeavours to provide its services to divorced women.  Also providing social support services to senior citizens.

Our services focus on providing:  Helpline for widowed and divorced women, and senior citizens, Moral, social and security support - Emotional, legal and medical counselling - Career development- Livelihood creation - Widow Pension – Education - Companionship solutions - Outlook change and mentoring programs - Hotline support - Volunteer management wing - Marriage services (Private registration, matchmaking on a database of verified prospects, Detailed match verification,  Face to face meeting events, Legal and medical counselling, After services: support through post-marital counselling). We are in the process of constructing a matrimonial website exclusively meant for widowed and divorced women.
Parihaar Foundation inaugurated helpline and community care services while observing of International Widows Day on Monday, June 23, 2014 evening at RV Teachers College Auditorium in presence of distinguished persons.

Mr N B Jayaprakash Founder at Parihaar Foundation gave a thematic introduction, an audio visual presentation of services offered by foundation in detail.

The Foundation website www.parihaarfoundation.com was inaugurated by Ms Lily Paul, Director-Community Development at Hippocampus Learning Centres and Marriage Counsellor. Helpline phone no. 080- 4148 2727 for widowed and divorced women was inaugurated by Mrs Bhargavi Narayan, Senior Stage, Film and TV artist. Helpline phone no. 09972 322 322 for extending social support services for Senior Citizens was inaugurated by Dr Srinivasa Murthy, Former Head of the Dept of Psychiatry, NIMHANS. Mrs Deepika Gandhi, Psychologist, Mr Rangaswamy, President of Jnana Jyothi Senior citizen association and Mr Nadahalli Sripada Rao, Founder at Parivarthana, trust promoting widow marriages were special guests inaugurated exclusive matrimonial website www.parihaarmatchmaker.com  

Ms Lily Paul addressed the gathering expressing her life experiences and spoke about women empowerment, narrated examples with illustrations that how to be self reliant motivating widows, divorcees and senior citizens.

Mrs Bhargavi Narayan herself a widow narrated her bad experiences about ill treating widows and called for widows to gather together and come into main stream of the society.
Mrs Deepika Gandhi a widow who lost her husband during her pregnancy when she was just 25, expressed her hard days and non-support by her own relatives. She explained how she could overcome the grief with support of her parents and became self reliant completing M A in Psychology.  She also explained how she could become a social entrepreneur working hard individually.

Dr Srinivasa Murhty addressed the gathering by educating them how to overcome moral, social, emotional, physical issues. He also explained many instances widows and senior citizens undergoing stress because of loneliness and ill health and advised many solutions and explained the importance of documentation of study cases with detailed illustrations.

Mr Rangaswamy spoke about the hardship faced by widows and senior citizens and measures to prevent the hardships.
Mrs Premsudha Srinivas Raju, MC who anchored the whole program also proposed vote of thanks.
